1. How long has Magnaflux Quasar Systems (Quasar) been in business?
Quasar was founded to commercialize resonance technology for NDT in 1993. In 2007, the company was purchased by Illinois Tool Works. Since that time, Quasar has operated as a business unit of Magnaflux.
2. Who are Quasar's customers?
Quasar's customers are primarily in the automotive business and include the OEMs, Tier 1s and individual suppliers. Quasar also has customers in the electronics, medical, sporting goods and welding industries. We do not release customer lists because most of our customers consider the application of our product to be a significant competitive advantage and ask us to hold it confidential.
3. Where are Quasar's production, sales, and support facilities?
Quasar's production, development and administrative functions are located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Sales and support functions are centered in the Detroit, Michigan area.
4. Do you have international sales and support capabilities?
Quasar sells and services directly in North America, with local support resources in Canada and Mexico. In Europe, Quasar is sold and serviced by Hesselmann & Koehler. In Japan, Quasar is sold and serviced by Toray Engineering Company, Ltd. Contact Quasar for current information about other regions.
